The Arab American National Museum cordially invites you to the opening reception of Epicenter X: Saudi Contemporary Art in Dearborn, MI at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Epicenter X sheds light on the vast diversity of contemporary artistic practice in Saudi Arabia. Cutting through the political discourse of media outlets and government officials, the artworks featured in this exhibition open doors to the lives of the Saudi people. The exhibition will feature over forty established and emerging artists, including Abdulnasser Gharem, Ahmed Mater, Ahmad Angawi, Ayman Yossri Daydban.

AANM is bringing a one-of-a-kind exhibition to Michigan all the way from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Epicenter X: Saudi Contemporary Art runs July 8-October 1, 2017 in the Main Floor Gallery, Courtyard, Second Floor Atrium and The Annex and is freewith Museum admission.

The exhibition explores Saudi culture by promoting dialogue between Saudi artists and U.S. audiences.

The intriguing work of the artists challenge common views and misconceptions about the country by exploring themes of urbanization, globalization, religion and the impact of American culture in Saudi society.

A variety of work by both established and emerging artists will be featured in the exhibition, including Saudi artist Amr Alnagmah and current AANM resident artist Ayman Yossri Daydban. A FREE opening reception will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 8.
