Where:


The historic Armory on Lexington Avenue and East 25th Street in Manhattan, NYC.


What:


Multifaith humanitarian project to build 8,000 emergency hygiene kits for Syrian refugees. We are working in partnership with Orient for Human Relief to distribute the kits to Syrian refugees in Turkey.


Who:


Members of New York's faith-based communities - Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists among others. Children, college kids, adults, families and seniors are all welcome to take part.


Organizers:


The Multifaith Alliance (MFA) for Syrian Refugees, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in collaboration with Heart to Heart International (HHI).


Goal:


We want to show the city, nation and the world that our faith communities can come together and work shoulder to shoulder to help Syrian refugees in dire need. This is what we call "interfaith with impact."This is the first event of its kind in the country. We expect participation from federal and city officials
